Rachel Brodie began appraising personal property after a 20-year career in museum collections management. Her subjects include fine and decorative art, craft, antiques, memorabilia, fashion, and other unique items. Based in Nova Scotia, she works with clients across Canada.

Rachel passed the Core Course in Appraisal Studies with The International Society of Appraisers in 2016, completing their specialist program in Antiques, Furnishings, and Decorative Art in 2020.

Rachel’s work complies with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of The Appraisal Foundation. Headquartered in Washington, DC., The Appraisal Foundation is the foremost authority on the valuation profession in North America. The organization sets the standards and qualifications for real estate and personal property appraisers and guides valuation methods and techniques for all valuation professionals.

Rachel renews her USPAP training every two years, ensuring that her appraisals are independent, consistent, and objective.
